WHEN WILL ASUU STRIKE END

I really feel for our brothers, sisters that have been at home for the past how many months because of ASUU strike, well like the saying goes, when two mighty Elephants fight the grass suffers, the picture below that I got from someone’s DP is not funny at all… Meanwhile just go through a friends status update on Facebook, I think is time they put an end to the war/fights/demands.

ASUU's Foolishness & helpless Nigerian Students: (my take)

First, let us not forget that members of ASUU are supposed to be literate. If this is true then they must know about fiscal policies and time/timing. I agree that ASUU's demands are just and in the best interest of Nigeria as a whole. But why will such an educated body, miss putting this pressure when the annual budget is being drafted? Why do they generally not press their case through the national assembly? Surely, the national assembly is empowered to make material adjustments to the national budget. And if their demands/lobby is well co-ordinated, they can bypass the executive and push for a passage of a lump sum provision to cover for their demands! Now why ASUU usually picks the most idiotic method and timing to press for their demands really beats my imagination. We may not have a sympathetic or responsive FG but quite honestly, we have the legislature to offer a backdoor and our educated academia just have been too aloof, too unintelligent and too engrossed in taking money from students and cheap sex from the girls to reason straight and use the tools available to them. Agreed I might be a strategist but I don't believe I am alone. Somehow there are strategists too among the ranks of ASUU. It's time these half-baked educators woke up and stop punishing Nigerian students! They are doing more damage than they think they are salvaging!

Enough of this rubbish!
