Delta State Shuts down 662 schools

622 privates primary and secondary schools were shut down by the state government.
The commissioner of education in the state Prof. Patrick Muoboghare while briefing Journalists on Tuesday, said the affected schools were built below standards and in most cases, they were set up in very unconducive   learning environment, while some were operating in ramshackle buildings, some shared buildings with churches, hotels, private residences and other business.
He also stated that the actions was geared towards. Providing qualitative education at the cradle.
